From the parking area at Three points, the trailhead is near the pit toilets and Three Points information sign.
Continue on the trail past the junction that leads to the Pacific Crest Trail and Mt. Waterman Trail across Angeles Crest Highway.
At the next junction turn right. Going straight also leads to Angeles Crest Highway.

From this junction there will be another split (not photographed). Go left to remain on the Silver Moccasin Trail. Right leads to Sulfer Springs Road and the PCT.
The trail eventually comes to a dirt road. Just go straight across it.

Eventually you will come to a junction which leads to the Angeles Crest Christian Camp. To continue on to Bandito Campground turn left and down instead of going straight and up to the road.
