Angeles Crest Mile Marker 56.00 to Cooper Canyon CG, Winston Ridge, Bump 6903, and Winston Peak

Trail: Pacific Crest Trail to Cooper Canyon Campground, return via Winston Ridge, Bump 6903, and Winston Peak.

Description: Follow the Pacific Crest Trail up to Cloudburst Summit and then down canyon crossing the dirt road about a mile along the trail and continue past the saddle on the north side of Winston Peak, past the unmarked junction with the north hiker’s trail around Bump 6903 (the small peak that shares the saddle with Winston Peak), to Cooper Canyon Campground. Return the same way until reaching the unmarked junction for the north hiker’s trail around Bump 6903. Take that trail around Bump 6903 and continue past the next saddle up to Winston Ridge. Return to the saddle with Bump 6903 and follow the faint hiker’s trail up to Bump 6903 and then down to the saddle with Winston Peak. At the saddle, follow the steep north hiker’s trail up to Winston Peak and return to Cloudburst Summit by taking the more gradual south hiker’s trail back down to the parking area. From Cloudburst Summit follow the Pacific Crest Trail back to the trailhead.
