Thanks for your question. I updated the legend (accessible by clicking the icon to the left of the title “Hiking Angeles Forest Map” or by clicking to enlarge the map to full screen). Now each symbol has its own layer name and can be turned on and off as you desire.

Can you explain what the different icons on the map means? I think I have a general idea but I’m sure it’d be helpful.

If you can, please add a section on where we can take dogs. My golden is a major hiker and she loves to scramble up rocks. I hate leaving her behind.

Curtis, you can take dogs anywhere in Angeles National Forest as long as you follow the rules on this link: http://www.fs.usda.gov/recmain/angeles/recreation Also, a good blog dedicated to hiking with dogs throughout CA is: https://calitrails.com/
