Silver Moccasin Trailhead near Little Pines Loop across from parking.

Trail: Little Pines Loop to Mt. Hillyer

Stats: 7.2 miles, 1335′ of gain and loss.

Segments: From the Chilao T2 parking lot near Little Pines Loop, cross the road and take the Silver Moccasin Trail to the road at the north end of Chilao next to Little Pines Loop. Cross that road and continue further along the Silver Moccasin Trail to the junction with the Horse Flats Trail. Turn left and follow the Horse Flats Trail to Horse Flats Campground.  Turn left and follow the Mt. Hillyer trail and take that to the summit of Mt. Hillyer.
