This segment begins at Little Jimmy Campground which is along the Pacific Crest Trail. Follow the trail into Little Jimmy and continue along it until you come to a junction that connects with the Mt. Islip Ridge Trail.

The Mt. Islip Trail connects with the Islip Ridge Trail which leads to Mt. Islip.  Head in the direction leading up.

If coming down from Mt. Islip, the way through Little Jimmy is straight.

The Islip Ridge Trail leads to a summit trail. Go Right at the sign.
